Exceptional Education

The term Exceptional Education is used in Metro Nashville Public School District in lieu of Special Education. I understand that terminology morphs with the times and as certain terms gain negative connotation. I am curious how widespread this term is used. I understand that there are courses in Kentucky State University that use the term.

Where else is it used?
